I’m an IT consultant focused on Microsoft 365, mobile working, secure infrastructure, and automation.

I’ve worked in IT for over a decade and have specialised in Microsoft 365 since 2017. A lot of my work sits where technology meets day-to-day operations: making systems easier to manage, giving people the right tools to work effectively, and improving security without losing sight of the user experience.

This blog is where I document technical work, share lessons from projects, and explain some of the choices I think organisations should make about their IT. That includes practical guidance as well as opinions on standards, investment, supportability, and the compromises behind them. If you’ve spoken to me about this sort of thing before, the tone will probably feel familiar: fairly casual, but usually more enthusiastic than I first intend.

Independence

I’m an employee of SilvaTech Solutions in the UK. This is my personal blog and does not represent SilvaTech Solutions. The posts and opinions published here are my own.

Use of AI

I use AI tools to help review and refine articles. This can include improving structure, tightening language, checking clarity, and identifying areas that need further verification. I’m not always great at getting thoughts down cleanly, and AI helps me get the point across without losing the original idea.

AI does not write these articles for me in their entirety. I provide the subject, core context, technical detail, reasoning, and justification. The finished article remains my responsibility.
